Yesterday Yanni jie shared with us what is commitment. What do we mean when we say we make a commitment. A commitment is like a mother and her child.
When the child scolds the mother, she will still love the child.
When the child pushes the mother away, she will still love the child.
When the child kicks the mother, she will still love the child.
This is commitment. Commitment is unconditional.
It made me think: a lot of times, we always say we are committed, or we want to make a commitment. But are we really committed?? Are we paying lip service only??
This morning, I made a commitment. A commitment to climb the mountain of wealth, abundance, happiness, prosperity, health and peace. And I know it will be so much easier to climb this mountain cos now we have an angel has ascended and gave us her hand to pull us up the mountain. :)
My journey towards the abundance mountain has began. I commit myself to my business, I commit myself to climb the abundance mountain with max, sis and net. :)
**
Yesterday Yanni jie also touched on POV. She said with every POV we attend, we should only go higher and higher, and not bounce up and then get back to square one. She has now imposed a rule on herself that if she is to 批判 anybody, she will fine herself $10 because whatever we批判 about others, it is actually a part of us, and the money will be donated to the world vision fund.
This leads me to think about myself. Am I getting on a higher plane after each POV? I can truly say that with every POV, I am more at ease with myself and my relationship with the people around me, with mummy, daddy, sis, max, net and even ace has improved. Net says that he felt more and more love with every POV that I attend. :)
But back to the part about批判别人. This I think I still need to improve and I need to make a conscious effort to do so. I admit that I am not saint and there are still a lot of things/people that I 看不顺眼. And this morning, when that bey song feeling arises in me again, my conscious mind shouted at me: 投射 (something that I have conveniently forgotten)!! And I realised OMG, so that is a part of myself that I do not like. So actually there is a part of me that is like that!!
And all the while when I was bitching about other people, I was actually bitching about myself!! And if you think about it seriously, its a scary thought. :s
So I commit myself not to 批判 others, not even in my heart. And should I do so, I shall do my part for the less fortunate kids in africa too. So peeps, if you catch me criticising others, please do give me a gentle pat on my back to remind me.
Thanks in advance!!

job interview
Just back to office from an interview.
The company is located in an industrial park in the east, which is near my home (cab fare from my home is only $5!!). But I don't like industrial estates because the people there tend to be more rowdy and sometimes I don't feel comfortable.
And because the damn industrial park is very big, I had a good 15 mins walk under the scorching hot sun (in formal biz wear... Coat and skirt and heels) before I finally found the place. :s Anyway, it has been some time since I went for the interview and like I said in the yesterday’s post, I wasn't prepared for the interview. No, I didn't read up on the company or anything. I just bought myself and my master of persuasion and sales skills (why sales skills when im applying for the position of a purchaser? cause an interview is the chance to sell yourself to the interviewer mah). Anyway the first question that the interviewer (IV) asked me caught me by surprise.
IV: did you bring your credentials?
me: yes, I did. Here it is (takes folder out and present to the interviewer)
IV: (flipping through my results transcripts) throughout your course of study, which subjects did you enjoy most?
me: wow... I need some time to recap what subjects I took cause it has been quite some time (stress... thinking very very hard what subjects I had studied before and what are the subjects that I have done well, which, sad to say, isnt a lot. I cant say I like thermodynamics or fluid mechanics and then the results on my transcripts show a D right..) I would prefer subjects that are has lab work and workshops because I am not they type that like to memorise notes.
IV: so you prefer to be more hands on lah?
Me: yes.
**
IV: why do you want to leave your current job?
me: (the truth: because the pay sucks and the working environment sucks) because I have been there for a few years and things are getting stagnant, and I think with my experience, I want to move on to a place where I can be a decision maker, and decide on what to purchase.
**
IV: do you intend to further studies?
me: nope
IV (a little surprised): why not?
me: (the truth: because I don't intend to be an employee all my life, and schools only teach people how to be an employee, and not a boss.) well I have thought of getting a degree before but after considering the amount of money and time spend, and the returns I will get, I don't think its a worthy investment. Example, I ever thought of getting a degree in supply chain management and I at least have to spend 20K on the course fees. By the time I graduate, which is about 2-3 years later, if I were to compare myself with someone without a degree, who has the about the same working experience as me, if we were both to apply for the same job and I were to ask for a much higher pay than her because I have the degree, I don't think I stand a good chance. So I think its not worth the investment. I rather go attend short courses and self improvement courses.
IV: do you have any questions?
me: (are there any vegetarian eateries around here?) how many projects does your company get in a year?
(do you have to do OT? What are the working hrs like? How much was your last year bonus??) how big is the procurement team?
**
And so that sort of ends my interview. If I am short listed, I will be required to go down for a 2nd interview. I don't know if i should ask u guys to wish me luck cos i really don't like the location. very inconvenient to go places from there. Maybe you guys can wish me luck that they will wanna employ me and offer me 50% more of what i asked for.
Oh ya, the 2 interviewers that interviews me are quite young (at most early 30s) and not too bad looking. keke. =p

new shoes!!
Went to 扫墓 with mummy and popo yesterday and when crossing the road, I lost my balance, nearly fell and as a result, broke the heel of my shoes. :( I bought the pair of heels just before CNY so its only about 1.5 mths old and I was pretty upset. So I take it that its heaven’s will that its time for some shoe shopping (despite me declaring on sat that I will not shop for the rest of the mth again)!!
Went to C&K, they have some promo going with UOB cards. Got 2 pairs of shoes. And while waiting for the sales person to get me the shoes, I decided to ask the sales girl if they do repair of shoes.
me: im very upset that the heels came off. I bought the shoes not too long ago only.
SG: when did u buy it?
me: just before Chinese New Year. So its one month plus only
SG: so u just wore it for one or two times only?
me: no. but a pair of shoes should be able to last more that two months right? Don't tell me your shoes can only last two months?
SG: no no no.
me: that's why im so upset cos I really liked the shoes and I just bought it not too long ago and now its spoiled!!
SG: do you still have the purchase receipt?
me: no. I don't keep my receipts for so long. I didn't expect the shoes to be spoiled so quickly and easily.
After showing them the damaged pair of shoes, the salesgirl told me that they will do a one to one exchange for me!! And I get a new pair for shoes free!! Yipeeee!!! Super happy!! Wahahahaha. I believe that I am ti gong gia, always so lucky, I am the gift of flow, where all good things, good luck will flow to me.
I have decided to be a loyal C&K supporter, provided they improve in their designs... Haha.
So gals, if you bought C&K shoes, and its spoiled, you can bring your shoes back to their outlet and get them to repair for you. if the damage beyond repair, they might do a one to one exchange.
**
Am going for an interview tomorrow. Im not really keen but who knows, they might offer me what im asking or better still, they may even offer more than what im asking!! Anyway, was lunching with the gals just now and they were talking about job interviews, and the people whom they interviewed. And its only then did I realised that I was so un prepared for tml’s interview. Not that I am dying to get the job, but if I made up my mind that im going for the interview, I better ace it. I cant even remember where I kept all my certs. Haha. Think I need to go dig them out tonight. Keke.

Am thinking of removing my shout box since nobody leaves msges for me there except the KNN spammers.

PIFO
Last weekend...
I break through myself once again.
I found back the fighting spirit that was born within me. Yes, were all champions once, remember? Else how would we have existed?
I finally let go of my of my anger. I finally got the courage to pen a letter for dad (the first letter I ever wrote for him I my 27 yrs of my life), telling him that I have forgiven him and how I actually yearn for his recognition and closeness.
I found my mission.
I once again, found my goals.
I am never more clear what kind of person I want to become. (CLARITY = POWER)
I build closer bonds with everyone (you know who you are) and im really glad. Thanks for the support during those 2.5 days.
Thank you, SCS. you have once again, impacted my life like you did a year ago. And I commit myself to spread the love and Pay it Forward

Rising Sign is in 25 Degrees Pisces
Very sensitive to your surroundings, other people's feelings become your feelings. Try to avoid negative people because your tendency to empathize with them will make you negative also. An idealist, you must believe in something beyond your normal everyday existence. A dreamer, you like to escape to a world of your own creation. As such, you are known for the vividness of your imagination and should try to share your inner visions with others. Very self-sacrificial by nature, beware of others becoming overly dependent on you or vice versa. Allow yourself to live for yourself once in a while -- you deserve it. Don't be so envious of those who are more aggressive than you -- your gentle charity and true humility are indeed wonderful gifts. on the tenth house cusp (MIDHEAVEN).
Sun is in 24 Degrees Sagittarius.
Very fun-loving, spirited and energetic, you have a huge reservoir of physical energy within you that needs to be released. As such, exercise or sports are very important to you. Quite gregarious, you enjoy being with other people, but you tend to avoid emotionally restrictive or intimate relationships. Constantly curious about the broader issues of life, you may at times be quite careless and sloppy about details -- you tend to leap to conclusions before all the facts are in. An avid reader, you are totally enthusiastic about any given subject should it interest you. You are known for being idealistic, generous, sociable, cheerful and very positive!
Moon is in 09 Degrees Aries.
High-spirited and courageous, you are a fighter when your emotions are aroused. The degree of force and drive that you can bring to any effort sometimes surprises others. You have hair-trigger reactions to specific stimuli and tend to "let it all hang out." You sometimes act before you think and do things on the spur of the moment, and that sometimes gets you into trouble. Your moods change quickly -- you have quite a temper, but you don't hold grudges. Very independent, with an extremely strong and forceful personality, you are known for being impulsive, careless, reckless, foolhardy, rash and daring.
Mercury is in 15 Degrees Sagittarius.
Your mind is very curious and inquisitive, always seeking information on a wide variety of topics. The broader the subject matter (philosophy, science, religion, metaphysics), the more it will appeal to you. You prefer to deal with abstractions -- the small but important details associated with any subject tend to slip your grasp. You are known for being blunt, honest and truthful.
Venus is in 27 Degrees Scorpio.
Your feelings about others are deep, powerful, intense and complex. When you like someone, you do so totally and obsessively if you do not like someone, they do not exist. Your faithfulness and loyalty to your lover is unquestioned, indeed at times it is too much so -- you get so possessive that you almost smother your partner. At times, your feelings are kept deep within you and, because they are so complex and intense, they frighten you -- this is the way that you try to ignore them. But the more you try to do this, the more explosive things get when you eventually do express them.
Mars is in 18 Degrees Capricorn.
Extremely ambitious, you are willing to work very hard to reach the goals you have set for yourself. Very practical, cautious and conservative, you demand tangible results for your efforts. You need to excel in whatever you do, and you have the required sense of responsibility, dedication and self-discipline to bring it about. Beware of your tendency to judge others only by their degree of status and prestige, or by how well they will be able to advance you in your climb to the top.
Jupiter is in 08 Degrees Libra.
You are generally good at balancing opinions and judging issues, but you tend to be indecisive when it comes to making up your own mind. You are objective and quite concerned with fair play and justice. But, when it comes to yourself, you are so aware that whatever you do might upset the apple cart that you often choose to compromise rather than do anything that might make you lonely or vulnerable. Relationships are very important to you -- you learn about yourself and grow through observing yourself interacting with others. Your aesthetic tastes are refined, but expansive and expensive.
Saturn is in 08 Degrees Libra.
Although you take quite a while to make decisions, you usually consider all sides to a question, all the pros and cons, and the solution you come up with is very often the correct one. You tend to be very reserved and shy, but, once you make a commitment to someone (in either a business or personal relationship), the partnership is forever. You have a strong sense of justice and fair play and greatly respect the laws and institutions by which you are governed. As such, you are outraged when others break laws or show contempt for authority.
Uranus is in 27 Degrees Scorpio.
You, and your peer group, demand to confront life at its deepest and most meaningful levels. Very compulsive and obsessive in your approach to everything, you will avoid anything that is casual or superficial, especially when it comes to relationships. You will seek out and explore new methods of healing as well as different ways to deal with deep-seated emotional problems.
Neptune is in 22 Degrees Sagittarius.
You, and your entire generation, are heavily involved in investigating and idealizing foreign and exotic intellectual systems and religious philosophies. The most extreme ideals will be pursued with gusto. You will be at the forefront of humanitarian attempts to improve the lot of those who are in need of assistance. You will be comfortable with the concept of the "global village."
Pluto is in 23 Degrees Libra.
For your entire generation, this is a time of radical changes in society's attitude toward marriage and interpersonal relationships. There is a general fear and awe at the power inherent in making emotional or contractual commitments -- they will not be entered into lightly.
N. Node is in 12 Degrees Leo.
You prefer to take the leadership role when it comes to dealing with others. You enjoy administering and organizing group activities. Others tend to listen to your suggestions because you aren't usually overly domineering or patronizing in your interactions. You love to entertain in a big way -- you're at your best when throwing a large and lavish party. Your popularity and social success are assured as long as you don't take others for granted -- resist the temptation to become snobbish and arrogant.
