Somebody very sum see see lately.
First, ask me for a date for dinner and insist that I must let him know when I am free. When I ask him why must we specially set a date for dinner, he says its because it has been a long time since we have a good meal together, or plan a special dinner together.
When after some time I didn't tell him when I am free, he insists that we must have the dinner this week and asked me to check my programme for Thursday.
When I told him yesterday that there is a training on thurs (which turns out to be a miscom), he asked me: you want to go? when I probed further why he would ask if I wanted to go for the training since he knows that I go for all trainings he revealed that he has made a reservation at the restaurant already. Which got me curious, which restaurant is it? Why need to make reservations? Why so dai gin si?? And he said his friend introduced this restaurant to him, saying its not bad. When I asked which restaurant it is, he said its at sentosa.
Which got me more curious. Why do we need to go all the way to sentosa for a nice dinner? And on a weekday. Why need to go such lengths just for a dinner?? His reply: cause its been such a long time since we plan a good dinner together. The last one was on my birthday which is so many months ago. I really miss us having a good dinner together and we can celebrate our monthly anniversary at the same time too. If we don't go this week, we will both be busy again and will have to wait for a long long time again.
But I guessed he sensed that I wanted to go for the training so he told me: if you want to go for the training then you go lor. I will cancel the reservation. I am alright with it. But I sensed his tone of disappointment so I told him we go ahead with the dinner.
I wonder what he is up to. I smell something up his sleeves. But I might be over sensitive. Maybe he just really wants us to have a quiet nice dinner together. Aiyah, im just not a romantic person lah. Keke. So I shall just go and enjoy my dinner on thurs. :)

make a difference
I used to think that I am just another girl living on planet earth. I will just spend my life studying, working, most probably get married, have kids, fall sick and die. I never thought that I can make any difference to anyone except probably my parents. With me or without me, there is no difference. Maybe just one less person on earth vying for fresh air with all the rest.
That was about 1.5 years ago.
Then I found what I want to do in life, and found what gives me happiness. I realised that we do not need to do something really great (like donating millions to charities like warren buffet) in order to make a difference to others life. Every small action we take, counts. Like im a vegetarian and I know how meat is not so good for our bodies. I do not need to my friends to become a vegetarian like me, but I share with them what I know and they take lesser meat or least every time they eat with me they eat vegetarian with me as well. With this, its better for their health and also I saved some animals! In this 1.5 years that I have turned vegetarian, I have probably saved god knows how many chickens!! :)
But what happened during last sat during SNC really hit me. Net’s sis came and hug me and she told me: thank you for changing my brother’s life. Without you, he wouldn't have changed and our family wouldn't have changed. And I was really really very very touched and very very happy (of course, during SNC there were other happenings and people that touched me. Those at SNC with me you know who you are).
I didn't do anything much. I brought net to have his iris scan to understand more about his health, he took better care of his health and bought his sister for the iris scan, and she too began to be more aware of her health. Through me, net got to know Dreams Inc and attended SCS, where he found his goals and dreams and in the pay it forward movement, he got his sister to attend SCS and now they are both moving towards their ideal life and their family bonding got closer as well. :)
Im not trying to make myself sound very 伟大, I just wanna say don't belittle ourselves, don't think that we cannot make a difference. We can. By just changing Net’s life, I have helped change his whole family. Its like a rippling effect, it spreads out. So don't think that there is nothing you can do to make this world a better place. Just give help and love to the people around and you are already making a difference, no matter how minute or insignificant the actions may seems now. :)
And this is exactly what I call Pay It Forward. We all just need to Pay It Forward, and really, together, we can make the world a better place to live in.

blah
Don't feel like blogging for the longest time.
Dedicated my last weekend to serving SCS. And during the graduation, when the participant went on stage to thank the Acs, I was so touched I teared. And all the effort I put in for the preparation of the SCS becomes worth it. :)
At the end of the 2.5 days, I lost my voice and was on MC on min and took urgent leave on Tuesday. Partly because I was really tired and mainly cause net was on MC too so we can spend some quiet time together. :) Net actually asked me on mon afternoon: can we go out and have a nice dinner some day? Yeah, this is our schedule. We even need to specially set time aside to go for a nice dinner together. but till now, we still have not set on a date yet. Keke. :p
Attended LZ’s wedding last wed. LZ is a very pretty bride!! Ahhh, makes me wonder how will I look like in my wedding gown. Keke. Back to topic, LZ looks soooooo pretty. Especially when she just finished a detox and lost 5KGs in just 3 weeks. When get married, I’ll make sure I go on a 2 mths intense detox so that I can look my prettiest, most radiant, most glamorous on that day. Hmmmm...**starts day dreaming**
A number of people has been asking me why I call net net in my blog when that is actually not his name. well, net is actually a name we call him all way back when we were in sec school. That was the last syllabus of his name (back then). But over the years I think he changed his name (identity crisis) but I am already so used to calling him ah net already. So net he remains on my blog. And friends who read my blog now know him as net as well. Keke.
And tomorrow is Friday again. Time flies. My brain is out of blogging juice.
