back

im back from a 3D2N trip from bangkok. bangkok is a shopping paradise. despite me telling myself to control my shopping, i still spent about S$250 for the 2 days (effectively) on shopping ALONE. food, transport, accommodation, air tix and massage proudly sponsored by net. :D

some statistics of this bangkok trip...

bought:
11 bandeus
6 cardigens (1 for sis, 1 for mummy)
6 undies
3 necklaces
3 soccer jerseys (1 for ace, 1 for max, 1 for me)
2 belts
1 jacket
1 hair pin
1 pair of slippers
1 hello kitty plush toy (from net)
4 t shirts

walked:
6 hrs non stop at chatuchak market
3 hrs at the wholesale centre outside our hotel
4 hrs at patpong night bazzaar

went for:
2 full body massage
1 foot massage

waited:
2 hrs at bangkok airport. flight was delayed because of technical issues. :(
god knows how many minutes on the roads due to traffic jam. the traffic there is just horrible!! so many times we have the so near yet so far feeling. we already see our destination, but yet we are stuck in the jam.

some interesting incidents...

1st day evening, we took a tuk tuk to siam centre. the tuk tuk driver said he will drive us to this restaurant for us to have our dinner and he will wait for us outside the restaurant and drive us to siam centre after we have eaten. so we went to the restaurant and when we were done, the tuk tuk driver was nowhere to be found. so we left without him. and we haven paid him yet. which means our ride to the restaurant is FREE!! keke.

we ate so much eggs there that we now have phobia of eggs. cause there was nothing much for us to eat at the breakfast buffet, so for the 2 mornings we ate scrambled eggs, sunny side ups and even salted eggs!! i think we are going to swear off eggs for some time.

on our first night dinner, we ordered this dish: fried morning glory. i was expecting it to be the morning glory flower fried, something like the fried zulchini flowers we had at ilido, imagine the disappointment when the fried morning glory turns out to be a plate of char kang kong. i didnt know kang kong is morning glory.

when i shop, i completely forgot that i have to eat, shit and pee. haha.

**

i still cant get enough of the massage. i am already planning for our next trip... :)

pictures of the trip will be loaded shortly as i haven d/l the pics into my PC yet...

try taking BTS (the sky train) or the MRTA, it provides very easy access to siam square, jatujak market, and other great great places :)

and bangkok is truly shopping & massage heaven :)
