colleague went on leave for 1 week for tour and i had to cover her work. i wanna go holiday too!! but no kaki leh. i am very particular when it comes to holiday kaki. some people might be on very good terms with me but i wouldnt want to go on holiday with them becos i know that if i were to see this person for few days 24/7, eat with them, sleep with them, there will definately be conflict and i dun wanna pay so much money for holiday and end up unhappy.
hmmmm... anywayz, heres an IQ question for u to rack your brains on...
There are 5 houses of different colours on a street and in every house, there lives a person with different nationality. Everyone of them drinks different beverages, different brands of cigarettes and keep different pets.
Que: who is the one who keeps fishes?
Here are the clues:
1) The English stays in the red house
2) The Swede keeps dog
3) The Danish drinks tea
4) The green house is to the left of the white house
5) The one staying in the green house drinks coffee
6) The one who smokes pall mall cigarettes keeps bird
7) The one staying in the yellow house smokes dunhill
8) The one staying in the middle house drinks milk
9) The Norwegian stays in the first house
10) The one who smokes Blends stays beside the one who keeps cat
11) The one who keeps horse stays beside the one who smokes dunhill
12) The one who smoke blue master drinks beer
13) The German smokes prince
14) The Norwegian stays beside the blue house
15) The one who smokes blends stays beside the one who drinks water.
happy solving... :)

last weekend of may
My abs are aching. Badly!!
Went gymming and swimming with Rich on sat. and he proposed that we swim, followed by 20 leg raises after each lap. I did a total of 100 leg raises. Which explains why my abs are aching till today. Max says I already hit quota for the whole year le. :p After that, we went just greens vegetarian restaurant for food. The food there is very nice!! Yummy!! Just a short afternoon with Rich and I find it very rewarding. Must find more excuses to stick around him because he is the person with the results that I want.
Attended a seminar by Dr George on Sunday. Another very rewarding and recharging session. And out of the crowd of 100+ pple attending the seminar, he picked me and say I was mei nu ok. Hahaha. So happy. Lets see. I was wearing pink polo tee yesterday. Alright, I hereby declare pink my favourite colour!!!! :D
After the seminar, went harvey norman at suntec. There was a moving out sale. Wanted to look for digital voice recorder but ended up looking at digital cameras instead. Hiaks. :p
Was actually interested in Sony DSC-W30/L. The retail price for this camera is S$449 and now harvey norman is selling at S$409. That’s about $50 savings. But the salesman recommended me Casio Exilim EX-Z600. The Casion Exilim is selling at S$ 429, slightly more expensive than the Sony. I don’t know the market rate of the Casio camera. He says that Casio has more functions than Sony.
Actually to me the functions doesn’t really matter. What I need is something that allows me to take nice pictures and something that looks nice and is slim and easy to carry around. I was really really tempted to part with my 400 bucks le but somehow after some rational thinking, I decided let the money rest in my bank. Cause I actually no real needs for a camera. I just want to buy one cause I love taking pictures and with a camera, I can take tonnes and tonnes of pics and can load them here!! But spending $400 bucks so that I can take tonnes of pictures and posting them here doesn’t seem a reasonable enough reason and hence here I am, still thinking whether I should or I should not.
Sony Cybershot
vs
Sony Exilim
which is a better buy? which is a better offer??
But im really really tempted. Hmmmm.
Anyone can advise which of the 2 cameras is better? And are these actually good deals? I am a complete gadget idiot so I really need to rely on your advices and comments.
After leaving harvey norman empty handed, we went for dinner at fo you yuan restaurant. The food there is quite creative and tasty. But its super expensive. 3 of us ate $100+. And its my treat, cause I got a substantial amount of cheque this week. Hee. Anyway, I told sis n max that I will give them a treat whenever my cheque can hit that substantial amount. Lets see if they have the kou fu this week. :p
After fo you yuan, we adjourned to cheese cake café for cheesecake!! Yipee. Max was actually quite full and didn’t want to go for cheesecake. But I insists!! I think he cannot stand my appetite. Sometimes I scare myself with my appetite too. Take for example last week, a big group of us, arete, went for prata supper. I had bee hoon goreng, cheese and mushroom prata (share with cai na), paper prata (share with a bunch of hungry ghosts!! U should see how the paper prata collaspe within seconds the moment it was placed on the table!!), and mouthfuls of maggi goreng, mee goreng, honey prata here and there. And about 2 hrs later, I woke up with my stomach rumbling, feeling hungry and not able to go back to sleep anymore. :s
Oh ya, and I finally went to the new cathay cinema last friday. Wen I told J that was my first time there, he say I sua ku. Anyway, the cinema is not too bad. Seats are quite comfy. Though we were sitting in the first row but we don’t have to strain our necks (ok, I don’t have to strain mine. Not so sure abt J cos he so tall. Leg long, hands long. Haha). If any of you out there going to watch X-Man, remember to stay till the finish playing all the credentials.
Talking about X-Man, there will be a funny (or at least me, sis and max thinks its funny) post on it soon. Cant post now cause it will be funnier with pictures and all. So stay tuned.
Will be going for dinner gathering with arete later. Lots of food again. Hiaks.

its a SMALL world
Woo hoo!! My management finally realise that my work station is obselete (It will black out and hang for no apparent reasons). And I got a new computer today. I am now blogging using my I mac mini!! :D yes, small IS beautiful.
I am contemplating to bring it home during the weekends since its so small and light only. The thing about apple products is that they made it so classy and stylish and beautiful and easy to use that one simply gets addicted to it. Hmmm, my home pc is very old and senile le. Maybe time to change to a mini??
Anyway...
Singapore is really a small country. I found out last week that JC is actually my pri school school mate lor. I have knew him for a couple of months le but I never imagined him to be my pri school mate. How we made the astounding discovery was damn funny. It happens we were chatting about where we were staying (cause we are both living around the same area).
JC : do u stay with ur sis and max?
Me : no lah. But we staying very near. I stay at blk XX
JC : oh. I stay at blk XX. U know where it is??
Me : yeah, I know. Its just behind my ala manta.
JC : u mean u were from XXX??
Me : ya. OMG, don’t tell me u too!!
JC : yes!! Which year were u born in?
Me : 1980. U?
JC : me too! (GASP!! From me and max) Then we definitely know each other. No wonder I find you so familiar
Me : (by this time I was squatting down laughing le) but I don’t find u familiar leh. WAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
JC : have u ever took part in story telling competition before?
Me : yes! I took part ever since I was in Pri 3. OH... Dun tell me... U took part in the competition too?
JC : yes!!
Me : oh I think I know who u are le. There was this guy who was in the other class, who also took part in the story telling competition every year. And every year I only got 2nd place while he got first place.
JC : I am that winner lor!
Wah lau singapore really so small right? That night I really laughed till I cant stand straight. Well if u dun think its funny, then I can only say u need to see JC to think its funny. Hahaha. But I really don’t find him any familiar at all before that sial. He looks soooo different!! I still remember his face in pri school. Very innocent one. Wahhahaha. Whoops. :p

hmmm..
Hmmm... Cant concentrate on work though I have piles of papers staring at me...
Contracts to be prepared, equipments to be sourced, shipments to be arranged and payments to be approved. Thing I dun understand is, I am a purchaser. Why am I spending half my day sorting out payment issues?
Anywayz...
Last weekend, I was, once again, deeply touched and impacted by SCS. Every SCS is like a re discovered myself. Every SCS reaffirmed my goals. Every SCS I see my own blind spot. Every SCS I learnt new things, regardless of whether im an AC or a participant.
So last weekend, I was serving SCS...
My palms got blue black... from all the clapping
My knees got scratches... From all the running
My voice got husky... From all the cheering
My whole body aches... From all the dancing
But if you ask me is it worth it? YES, it definitely was.
Hmmm... Cant blog too much... Gotta go back to the piles of papers... Later ba, if I have the time and the mood and the inspiration...

all the things she says...
She said : last time when I was doing the job, where got cock up one? I always ensure the operations can run smoothly. I always worked till late night ok. Haiz, when I around, there are no problems, the management dunno how good I am, how hard I worked to be able to ensure everything runs smoothly. Nowadays they hire a new stuff and I heard one more coming up. Last time I one person handle everything also never complain cannot cope before.
She said : now adays I also worked till very late. I ever worked till near mid night ok. Last thurs I worked till 9pm, with my 2 departmental managers.
She said : we need to recruit more stuffs for my department. Nowadays me and department very busy.
She said : I know our director is a very good leader that’s why department manager and I slog our hearts out for him. We will give him our full support.
And the above she said, during lunch, to the GM, and in front of the other colleague from the same dept.
And she also says:
I dun like to talk bad about people. I dun get involved in office politics.
I see a lot of back stabbing here in the past. I always put a good word for the people who got back stabbed to the bosses
I am the type pf person, i just do my work, I also don’t like to claim credits.
And the above she said many times to her colleague in the same dept as her.
Ironic? Contradicting? What do u think?

crazee weather
If I can use one word to describe the weather nowadays...
Hot, humid, warm, unbearable...
ok, that’s more than one word. But the weather these days are killing me. Its so warm that im even sweating in my usually freezing office.
On days like these, I wish I have an air con in my room. :(
And while I was writing these, there is a big thunderstorm outside my office. The weather nowadays haywire already. The day after tomorrow is coming soon. I still feel warm in office. I think its the air con problem.
**
just had a ferrero rocher chocolate and banana nut crunch cereals.
Oh ya, banana is one of my all time favourite food too!!

bits n pieces
Its polling day tomorrow? Have you decided which party to cast your precious vote for? I am an ardent supporter of neither parties, so I am still deciding because I realise every vote really counts. Because if everybody thinks that their vote wont make a difference and cast their vote any-o- how, then majority of the votes will be “any-o-how” votes and you will get “any-o-how” results. Anyway, this is the first time I have a chance to vote so I better cherish this chance cause this might be the first and last chance. ;)
Met my sisters for dinner at indinine café yesterday. conclusion: I never get sick of indinine food. Cause yesterday was the third time in this week that I dined there. And not to mention last week. Well, I dun hail it my favorite café for nothing ok.
After dinner, I got home and rushed to marina mandarin to meet up with Dr George. I am very touched and honoured. A founder of a going to be listed company took time off to offer me his guidance on how I can achieve my goals. Not to mention his wife just gave birth. He could choose to go accompany his wife, he could choose to go home and play with his son, he could choose to spend his time with his leaders, he could spend his time resting, he could spend his time with his business partners but yet he chose to spend his time on me, because max told him that I needed guidance. He is truly a admirable and affable man. There is no airs about him. He spoke sincerely and straight to the point on where my problem is.
So...
I am prepared.
I will be an eagle.
I will be the 0.3% no matter what people says or how they look at me.
Watch me fly ba. :)
**
Going for AC RR later. Cant wait. I better start packing up to leave now. Dun wanna be late. Woo hoo!!

labour weekend
This entry is sort of meant for my personal reading... If u dun understand any of the contents, just leave it as it is. :)
My long weekend passed like a whirlwind.
And I am spiritually and mentally recharged, but physically drained. But overall, its been great!
Sat – went for Arete training. I opted to go to the translation department and nic says I got potential. :) yes, I need to have the confidence. Confidence really plays a big difference. The next SCS, I will be the best AC and the best translator, not only in arete, but in the whole AC group. but still need to practise and practise to make perfect. So I have been trying to translate what other people are saying lately. I want to be a duplicate of nic, or even surpass him, so he can move on to other areas.
After the training, we had buffet lunch and one thing in common about the Acs, all are big eaters (me included)! We basically just stand around the trays of food so we can eat and eat and eat. After the lunch we played the secret number game, which was damn damn FUN. I laughed till I was almost out of breath. It has been so long since I had such fun with such big group of pple. I love such games.
Looking forward to the AC RR this Friday. Definitely loads and loads of fun!!
Sun – went KL with Rich, Reb and the others for an ESP seminar. The seminar was superb, powerful and straight to the point. Set me thinking. But thinking is not enough. Now is the action.
Action, action, action.
Massive action brings massive results. Go go go, clari!!
Remember your whys. Remember your pains. Remember your reasons. Do something now before its too late.
After the seminar, we went to this vegetarian restaurant to eat and there I tasted the best tasting vegetarian porridge and hand made noodles. Simply heavenly!! If only they have an outlet in singapore.
After dinner, we headed home. Reached the causeway at 1am but there was a massive jam and hence we only ended up in singapore at 4am. That’s how bad the jam was.
Glad that I got to spend so much time with rich and taking the opportunity to observe how he talk to people. Also taking the chance to ask him questions and learn from him.
Mon – system one’s success seminar. Received my pin and a book voucher. Am happy but am not proud. Cause there is nothing to be proud of. I should have done better. I should have at least taken the bronze pin. So... I didn’t really felt pride when I received my pin.
I was also the mc, together with Mei. But because of my trip to KL, I didn’t have sufficient time to prepare. I would say I didn’t do a good job but I was pretty good considering my preparation time. But no excuses, cause and I could have done much better. I flopped this time round.
Well, will make sure that I will be a world class mc on the next success seminar. And by then, I want to be on stage to collect my gold pin. Or I should aim the one with diamond?? I know if max or sis read this last line they will whack me with their shoe... Hiaks.
Anyway, im seriously lack of sleep.
Fri night slept at 3.30, woke up at 7. -- 3.5hrs
Sat night slept at 2.00, woke up at 4. -- 2 hrs
Sun slept at 5.30, woke up at 10.30 — 5 hrs (I actually set my alarm at 9am but I actually slept through the alarm!!)
So its 10.5 hrs of sleep in 3 days, averagely, its about 3.5 hrs per day.
