A*C*C n the yummy crunchy manjari chocolate cake

in case u are wondering, A*C*C stands for Angel, Carol n Clatzz...

Last Friday, carol n I went to sis’s place after work. We bought dinner along the way (1 pack of mix veg n rice and 1 pack of bee hoon) and carol bought a Crunchy Manjari Chocolate Cake cake from fullerton hotel. There was a promotion going on and she bought the 1/2 kg cake at $10 only.

So our initial plan is that 3 of us will share the 2 packs of dinner and then we’ll each have a small slice of the chocolate cake, leave some for max, and carol will take the rest home. So, after we arrived at sis’s messy but humble abode, had our dinner, gossiped, chatted and decided that it is desert time. :)

So we took out the cake, and carol cut it into 3 sections. 1 half, and 2 quarters. Plan was that the 3 of us share a quarter, save a quarter for max, and carol will bring the remaining half home for her parents.

And the Crunchy Manjari Chocolate Cake was oh so heavenly. The top of the cake was a very thin soft layer of dark chocolate, followed by a layer of soft chocolate cream, a thin layer of chocolate cake and a layer of chocolate crunch. The soft chocolate simply melts in your mouth while the crunch added some bite to the cake. And the combination of soft meets crunch is simply perfect. And the chocolate is not too sweet too. Simply delicious. Words simply cant describe how yummylicious the cake is.

And so within minutes, we finished the quarter of the cake. Well, the cake was simply too delicious, we didn’t get enough of it so carol said: why don’t we take the other quarter and we save a quarter for max and I bring the remaining quarter home? We all agreed unanimously immediately. Happily, we attacked the other quarter of the cake. ;)

What do you get when u put 3 woman and a yummy chocolate truffle cake together? A sweet time of course!!

Before we knew it, the 2nd quarter was gone. By now we were thinking aloud: I want more of the cake!! And carol again said: I don’t think I want to bring the cake home already, since my parents don’t really take sweet stuff. Why don’t we save one quarter for max and eat the rest?? With that, she sliced the remaining half of the cake into twos again, and we sinfully dig in with glee again... Till the 3rd quarter of the cake was gone too and we were like digging the remaining quarter of the cake meant for max.

By this time, we all knew what each other was thinking. We were all thinking aloud... Should we??? And sis said slowly: actually max will be coming home very late today cos his dinner will end very late. So he come home le also cannot eat the cake. With this confirmation, we decided to attack the last quarter of the cake. Down to the very last drop of chocolate cream.

And there u have it!! 3 ladies finished a 0.5kg of Crunchy Manjari Chocolate Cake!! We did it!! Yay!!

If u are reading this, please DO NOT mention Crunchy Manjari Chocolate Cake in front of max, cause he was sore that we never left any for him. Not even the raspberry on the cake they placed for decoration!! We whipped out everything!! Till today, he was still grumbling!! Haha.

This weekend I’ll be having cheese cake again cos its mummy’s birthday and sis n max have ordered a large cheese cake. Yummy!!

Hello yet again.
I found your story rather amusing, and the cake itself looked mouth-wateringly appetising. I had the most delicious slice of cheesecake recently, from a new Soho patisserie; it really was quite exquisite so I can empathise with your lack of self-restraint. I wolfed the thing down in seconds. Enjoy your Easter weekend
