beans & nuts

im in lurrrvvveee now... with 大红豆 (loosely translated: Big Red Bean)!! its not the normal kind of red bean used to cook red bean soup. its bigger, n longer than the usual red bean, can be found in 八宝粥 (loosely translated: 8 treasure porridge). it can be also found in the taiwan style ice kachang. 大红豆 is very sweet and after cooking, it doesnt become too soft so it still has some crunch when u munch it, which makes it very nice. i wonder why our local ice kachang dun use 大红豆. cos it will taste so much nicer.


anyway now im addicted to 大红豆. it has to be the nicest tasting bean in this world ever. everyday i will ask momo to put more 大红豆 into my soup. and i have joy digging the 大红豆 out and savour them first.


next on my list aft 大红豆 would be cashew nuts. cashew nuts are simply the most versatile nuts in the world!!! cause they taste nice anyway u cook them.


u can eat them:

roasted
honey roasted
salted (my fav!!)
plain
cooked in soup (they still taste sweet after cooking in soup)
coated with chocolate


theres just sooo many ways u can eat a cashew nut. im my opinion, cashew nuts is like chicken, cos theres sooo many ways u can cook a chicken and all taste nice. but of cause cashew nuts wins hands down because there is no cashew flu. hahaha.


imagine if cashew nuts were to replace chicken... i'll walk into a hawker center and order roast cashew nuts rice. confirm gonna be yummy.

or i can order herbal cashew nuts soup. yummy as well cos the cashew nuts are going to make the soup very sweet.

or i can have fried cashew nuts or bbq cashew nuts... ehhhh not sure if these 2 dishes are going to taste nice but can try though. hahaha.


i think im going nuts about nuts (pun totally intended) !! wahahaha...
