Took 3 packets of Enhancer yesterday and today I lost 0.7KGs (how amazing is that?!?!)!! :D :D :D

A long lost friend which I have been wanting to keep in contact with called me this morning!! I was surprised. Pleasantly surprised. Very pleasantly surprised. Sibeh pleasantly surprised because knowing this person, the call is really rare.


Yesterday Rich was telling me: if you think hard enough, you will get what you want. If you keep thinking of this person, somehow this person will appear in front of you. And I was thinking: no leh. Cause I have been thinking of keeping in touch with this fren and it took me a good 4 years before we bump into each other on the streets. That time we exchanged emails and corresponded via email for a while and then the mails just stopped. 2 years later, which is early this year, I got an email out of the blue me and we corresponded for awhile again, and said to arrange to go for coffee but somehow it never realised and we lost touch again. And now mths later, I finally got the call asking me out for coffee this sat.

So... Never under estimate the power of the sub conscious. :D :D :D :D


Went isetan shopping during lunch. Bought an adidas watch, 2 内在美, and something for sis and Jez and I made a new friend!! Total damage: $130 but feeling sibeh good. :D :D :D :D :D

Reached office late this morning. While approaching my office building, I saw a familiar car parked at the road side and a familiar figure standing beside the car, fumbling with her bag. Took a closer look and realised its my director’s wife. I quickly hastened my steps and hoped that I can get into the lift before she arrives. But the damn lift is so slow when it reached the ground floor, I saw the familiar figure walking towards the lift from the reflection of the lift’s door.

So when the lift arrived, I had to wait for her cause the distance is too near to try to feign ignorance that I didn’t see her. After the formal exchange of good mornings, the first thing she said was: wah, 9.30 ah (facial expression: smiling)?? Dammit. This is what we always term as 笑里藏刀. Although she is smiley and all but who knows if she will make a fuss in front of my boss. Usually woman bosses are more petty. Haiz. So I smiled and said: mrt broke down along the way, which was true. The train stopped in the tunnel for a good 5 mins?? Damn SMRT. Trains always faulty. If not for that 5 mins breakdown, I would have reach office earlier and would have missed my Director’s wife already. Broody hell....


So... I think I have to reach office before 9 for the next few mths by hook or by crook. SHITZ!! :(

I think more and more people are going vegetarian or getting more health conscious. Hence restaurants are coming up with vegetarian menus to catch the vegetarian market. In the past it is very difficult to find a vegetarian stall but nowadays you can find a vegetarian stall quite easily. :)


If only all food courts/eating places are like circuit road market, that would be the best!! Circuit road market is like the gathering of vegetarian stalls. You can find anything and everything there!!

I have drank about 2.5L of water (as of now and still counting) from my new mei mei pink 1L nalgene water bottle.


All thanks to the kind soul who gave me the bottle upon seeing that I have to drink distilled water (which contains no nutrients and will actually absorb your body’s nutrients if you drink too much!!) in office everyday. So with the bottle, I can bring kinertec water from home and can enjoy good, clean, chlorine (do u know chlorine is used to poison the POWs during WW2 and it can be found in our tap water?) free, metal free (imagine drinking rust) energy water in office!! =D


70% of our body is make up of water. So the quality of the water we drink is very impt. Gam siahs very the much hor, kind soul. :)


The only bad thing is now my bag very heavy leh. Got big water bottle, thermoflask (ginger drink), files, my wallet, cosmetic pouch, nano, voice recorder, book, hand phone, keys, ez link card etc... I think my bag weighs at least 5 KGs. No kidding. But im not complaining. So long as I can enjoy kinertec water. Cos too much distilled water makes me wanna puke and is bad for the health as well.

The movie is actually an adoption of the Korean movie Il Mare. Actually such sweet lovey dovey romantic films are not really my cup of tea but with the above reasons, how can I miss the movie right? Awwwwwww....


Keanu is soooo cute I think I will use his pic on my dream board. :p was actually deciding between Jude Law and him. But I think Keanu looks more like Asian cause he has black hair. Haha. I dun want an ang moh partner. I want black hair one. Haha.

gratitude

The past 2 days was session with Dr George was simply touching yet dynamic. ~ 做一切为了爱。 用爱心做事业， 用感恩的心做人。


When was the last time you truly thanked someone who has helped you or impacted you in your life? Look no further, lets just look at our parents. How many of us ever thanked them or told them we love them before? They worked hard to bring us up. What have we done for them in return?


Our parents always put us above themselves. what about us? I used to think contributing about a quarter of my earnings to the household is quite a lot already. I thought I have already contributed a lot because I do know a lot of people who do not contribute money to the household. So under comparison I thought I have done quite a lot. But compared to what mum and dad did for me, the mere amount I gave them monthly is NOTHING!


Mum really went through a lot of hardships to bring sis and I to where we are today. She put us above herself so that we can have the best of what she can afford. Dad wakes up early in the morning everyday to prepare fruit juice for us. On days we are not working, he will prepare lunch for us. When we are hungry, he will cook for us. When we are heaty, he will cook cooling tea for us.


The last time I told mum I loved her was early this year. Actually that was the first and the last time I ever told her so. I just hugged her and thanked her and told her I love her and im sorry for all the heartaches I caused her. And it felt so good doing so. And from mum’s face, I knew she was very happy although she just mumbled : silly girl. I thought mum looked like she was going to cry too.


So take some time to slow down your pace. Are there people who have touched you or helped you in your life one way or another and you have yet to thanked them?

Mum cooked ginger drink for me to bring to work this morning and the laoya thermos leaked. Now my bag, nano, wallet, book, notes, make up pouch all smell of ginger drink. :(


Just received an email. Now we have to go lunch in shifts so that there will always be someone in office to answer the phone. Wah lau. I feel like im a factory operator. I wonder what else will they be implementing next. Punch cards?

free massage anyone?

Went for a back massage during lunch time today. It was a free trial thingy. But we all know there is no FREE lunch in this world.


So after the massage, the consultant came and started to promote the spa package. Well, if the deal is good I wont mind singing up for the spa package since I enjoy massages. Well, the package they offered is worth $2000 and there will be a complimentary $600 value added. I told the consultant I would like to go home and think about it. So she said that she will go look for her manager and see if she can give me any more added value.


So the manager came, and blah blah blah, basically pushing me to close the deal, and kept asking me the area of concern. So I told her that I still will like to think it over and she said that the $2000 package they offered is only for today. If I were to come back another day, I would have to take the $3900 package.


And she said: $2000 package you already need to consider le u definitely wont take up the $3900 package right? (I was a bit bey song when she said that)


Then she continue to push me the tiral package which is about $1000.


And again I said that I need to think about it. And she said: so today you come here not with the intention to buy anything? I said: basically, yes. I just came to see and feel how good is the massage. Then she said: since u have no intention of buying, then dun get my colleague to ask me here and waste my time and waste your time right? Then she close the file and left.


Bloody hell. Bloody rude right?? The consultant was very nice and friendly. But the manager was so super rude. I really wanna think twice about signing up. And the consultant told me she is the AGM. I wonder how she can manage to be the AGM with such attitude.


Btw, Im supposed to my frens refer the consultant for the trial. So anyone needs a free massage?? But beware of the rude manager though their massage and service (except for the manager) is really quite good.

strange dreams

had a strange dream last night. it has been some time since i had such strange dreams.


dreamt that i went to apply to study uni with a group of frens (these pple are actaully frens of a fren of mine and i haven been in contact with them for almost half a year, but in the dream we are quite good frens). our applications were all approved and we went to one of the person's house to celebrate, which requires us to walk up a slope.


while celebrating/talking cock, i realised that i had applied for another uni too and i got into that uni too! which means i have to study at 2 unis. and i was very stressed thinking how can i cope.


then i had stomachache and went to use the toilet. the toilet bowl was like a drawer. have to pull it out to use it. so there was i experimenting with the unusal toilet bowl and i woke up.

I was sooooo happy Italy won! Can feel their joy when they all ran to the field to hug one another, to dance, to celebrate.

Yesterday was a good game. Though I think France played better than Italy in the 2nd half, but Italy’s defence and Buffon are superb! They are really damn good.


Totti’s performance was lacklustre though but Pirlo was good. Zidane was good as well but I still cant fathom why he did that foul. He knew he was one of the key person in his team, he knew that is clearly a foul and a red card offence, he knew that its his last world cup match. So why did he lose his cool?


Anywayz... Went to watch the match dressed in a blue t shirt and blue jeans and blue scrungy at indinine cafe. A pity I cant manage to find Italy Jersey. Before the game started, we played UNO and I won 6 packets of Fibre Plus! :D There were lot of snacks too like wedges, gyoza, tortilla chips. Pasta, peanuts and also non alcoholic beer, which is nice!! Taste like the real beer.


So... This morning, I only had 2 hrs of sleep. Thank goodness for Kiko mat and V Plus else I dun think I can tahan till now n still be so energetic (for info I woke up early in the morning at 5am on sat. shall save that for another entry ;).. ) I also took a short nap during lunch time. But because my office is open concept and we are not supposed to sleep in office in case our client or supplier walked in and its not a nice sight seeing us sleeping on our tables. So in order to nap where people cannot see me (somebody actually suggested I go toilet nap. Wah lau, toilet damn smelly sial. How to have good rest?). In the end, I found a perfect place to sleep. Its enough space for me to rest my legs, there is shelter from the light, and most importantly, people wont be able to see me. And that perfect spot is underneath my table. Haha.


Hmmmm... I guess I shall stop here... Used too much brain juice le... :p

I know in my previous post I wanted Portugal to go into the finals. But someone proposed a wager that I decided to support France instead!! And for that, I won myself an Italy jersey and a free haggen Daz ice cream!!. :D

Me and sis stayed up to watch the match last night. And as expected, sis fell asleep by half time. Actually I expected her to fall asleep 15 mins after the game. So she can still survive till half time is considered very good le.


Anyway, while watching the game, we were making fun of the player’s names.... You know why Germany didn’t win?? Just look at the names of their players...

Anyway, I wondered who are the people responsible for the design the team jerseys. Is it the sponsors? Or the football club? Or they have professional designers to do the design for them?


Out of all the teams, I like Italy’s and Holland’s jersey best. I like Italy’s blue colour and I think the gold text stands out from the dark blue. I like Holland’s jersey simply because its bright orange, orange is a happy colour, and most importantly orange is sys 1 colour. :)


The only one thing I dun like about the Italy jersey is the two patches of darker blue at the sides of the arms. It makes them look like all have sweaty armpits. I remember when I watched the Italy vs USA game, I was thinking to myself : wahseh the weather must be damn hot there cause all they players were all sweating at their armpits!! Its only when I realise how come everybody has the same big patch of sweat, then I realised its not their sweat. Haha.

EQ's 26th Bday (Opps i let out her age!!)

Finally, finally, finally, about a month later, we got the pics from eq on her b day. Actually, was faster than I thought. I was expecting that we can get the pics only 1 year later. Haha.


So this is the belated post on EQ’s b day...


Anywayz, on 9th June, we went to Rougue to celeberate EQ’s 26th birthday. And the theme was Retro, Rock or Seductive... Power initially said she wanna dress as Rock but changed her mind last min say she wore seductive... But not very seductive leh, because I’ve seen more seductive ones!! Haha. Even the b day ger was also not dressed to the theme lor... Only Serene was game enuff... She was retro babe that night!!


So anywayz, I so long never go clubbing le. Kinda forgotten how to dance, especially R&B music. I think I can only dance SCS dance these days. And all the smoke is making me sick.


So... John Monila and band were there. I missed listening to live bands. Sort of reminded me of that time. Haha. But I think I would have enjoyed more if it was an open space where smoking is not allowed. :p


Think all my sisters got a good time. Power n faith were happily dancing. EQ got she and slept of the sofa (haiz, I haven even had the chance to bottoms up with her, which is a good thing also. Cause I dun have to drink). Me and 00 were drinking cranberry juice whole night.


Some interesting happenings:

1. Eq got a colleague who looks like Vincent OM!! and he keep making small talk to 00... think she attracts OM... :p
2. the pple at rougue all like to hug one another especially when John monila was singing... weird...
3. B day ger nearly puked on my feet. heng she push me away.
4. my shawl became EQ's blanket
5. The dancers at Rougue cannot make it sial. Especially the male dancer. i rather they do without him.

Surprisingly and dissapointingly, Brazil is out. Brazil actually lost to France. How can that be?? I didn’t watch the game. I woke up in the middle of the night and checked out the scores from the net and i couldn't believe my eyes. I refreshed the page again and again, rubbed my eyes and realise that I did not see wrongly. Sigh. I so wanted Brazil to win. :(
